⛱️ What a pleasurable short read it was!
I absolutely loved it.
⛱️ This beautiful tale is set in the hills of Garhwal. Binya who lives in a vill with her family, was wandering around when she finds a group of picnickers. One of the lady had a blue and a veritably beautiful marquee which attracted Binya. They gave her the marquee in exchange for her leopard's claw pendent.
⛱️ This blue marquee brings so important happiness to her that wherever she goes, she noway leaves the marquee. All the townies were surprised to see such an elegant marquee with Binya. A shopkeeper' Ram bharosa' was eyeing on her prized possession. Will the marquee get stolen? Will it be destroyed?
⛱️ It contains images of some of the scenes as well which helps you to visualise the story easily and makes the reading enjoyable.
⛱️ Ruskin Bond has so beautifully captured the substance of a vill within a numbered runners. This tale left me smiling. Its ending is so so beautiful and touching. It showcases the mortal feelings similar as rapacity, covetousness, covetousness etc. It's an emotional and a stimulating read that anyone can read. This tale has a great assignment and it must be read by everyone. Loved its cover absolutely!
A enough little marquee which is blue in color brings footloose happiness in Binya’s life. She carries it far and wide with so important love and affection. There's this old shopkeeper Ram Bharosa who's eyeing this prized possession of the youthful girl of Garhwal. He tries to have his way and get the marquee under his paws. Would he be successful?
A simple and short story of kindness and humanity is The Blue Umbrella. In this classic tale, Ruskin paints a pictorial image of Garhwal where the story is set. Binya exchanges her leopard’s claw pendant for the blue silk marquee. And when she comes across the frenzied and despairing state of Ram Bharosa, she does the unconceivable. As she says that an marquee isn't everything. This displays her sensibility and modesty. This act of hers opens the heart of the old shopkeeper and positivity flows in. In short, there's a blend of heroism and redemption in this sweet story which is an ideal read for kiddies but could be inversely enjoyed by the grown-ups.
