Tru Walls - forty two year old man works at a reserve in Zimbabwe. Divorced with a child. Hope Anderson - thirty six year old, is currently at her parent’s cottage on the Sunset Beach. The book also revolves around a mailbox, ‘Kindred Spirit’. It is an open mailbox. People freely drop letters in to those they cannot write or a get a letter to, for reasons. Hope and Tru connect and reconnect at this beautiful set-up.
The novel begins with an envelope that arrives for Tru. It contains two plane tickets, an old photograph and, a written note sent by his biological father whom he has never met. He is summoned for a short trip to North Carolina to meet him and learn about his mother. Alongside, Hope Anderson is at her parent’s cottage at the Sunset Beach, North Carolina. She is unsure on where her life is going. She is in a relationship which isn’t progressing or making her happy. Her father is critically ill. The two strangers quickly fall in love. Separate ways in a week’s time because of some immense complications. They live on the opposites sides of the world, inhabit ting different lives.

The Return is the story of Trevor Benson, an orthopedist and a veteran of Afghanistan who got badly injured in a motor blast and recovering from PTSD. He inherits his beekeeping grandfather's cabin in New Bern, North Carolina. There he meets two women; Natalie, who is a deputy sheriff and Callie, who is too young to be working but still works full time at a local trade post. He feels attracted to Natalie and she somewhat reciprocates the same. But something aloof disturbed their relation. What is that? Trevor feels curious to find how his grandfather ended up in the place where he died. He somehow thinks Callie knows the answer to it. Who is this mysterious girl, Callie? The novel keeps you engaged.

This slow paced, soothing book is for the ones who like prose heavy stories. There is nothing too complicated and intense. It is very much good for the beginners who are new to reading English books.

The Return, first published in 2020, is definitely a page turner with likeable protagonists. It doesn't fail to keep you curious but for me, nothing was surprising. Some misogynistic and sexist jokes made me feel cringy. Lack of racial diversity was also something that disappointed me. Apart from this, I would ask anyone who is in need of an emotional vacation to read this beautiful romantic novel!

The book shows young love as it grows from friendship into something deeper. It helps you see the world through the eyes of someone whose fairytale turns into a horror story. It helps you gain a new perspective and shows how easily people judge others without even imagining themselves in other's shoes.

I love the way in which the author has told this story. It's thought-provoking and heartbreaking beautiful.

Most of all, I love the connection Lily and Atlas have. Pure!

Lily and Atlas didn't have a normal childhood. But they both had each other which made the unbearable things in their life so much bearable. Their connection was so powerful and beautiful that as I read the story ahead, it broke my heart to see them apart.

It's difficult for me to write a review without spoilers. So, I'm going to stop here.

Almost forgot! I'm glad that the ending was fulfilling.

"It ends with us" is a one of those stories that will stay with me always. Always!

I was completely swept up in Miles and Tate's amazing story. I fell in love with the way Colleen completely shattered my heart and then slowly pieced it back together, I love that I lost myself in all that was unfolding before my eyes and like a starved animal, I devoured it all. Every. Last. Word. The story is so perfectly balanced, it's angsty, beautiful, ugly, honest and completely raw. There is no sugar coating the pure emotion and the chemistry is off the scale. Whatever you feel from what you read, you will will feel is completely and while heartedly. No good love story is simple, where would the fun in that be? It has more ups and downs than a rollercoaster, it has the power to break your heart and make you pray that love is strong enough to conquer whatever life decided to throw in its path. Ugly Love has this magical way of combining all of the above and making you hang on to top the very end to find out how it ends. It doesn't help that Miles is well just gah! I love him, all of him! He may be a little messed up, he may be closed off and he may be an absolute tool sometimes but he's a tool I would happily have!! And Tate. Isn't she every one of us women? We have all been in that situation. Hoping that by sticking it out and holding on, no matter how much it kills us, we will eventually get what we want not matter how impossible it seems. The feelings, emotion and decisions, what woman hasn't been there. I certainly have. I think that is what makes Ugly Love able to steal its readers hearts. I am off to find me more CoHo to read and immerse myself in. But for those of you who haven't read Ugly Love? Get to it! You won't be disappointed.

- Reference of previous book 'Girl in Room 105' brings back memories of beautiful Zara Lone.
- There are many characters and when placed well it increases the fun and.. suspense gets bigger.
- For me it was impossible to figure out who the murderer is until writer decided to reveal.
- Previous one and this book, both have movie worthy story.
- Keshav and Sourabh, make blend of perfect friend chemistry between them.
