𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔: This book is a compilation of four works by pioneer in motivational literature, James Allen, viz

As A Man Thinketh

From Passion to Peace

Man: King of Mind, Body and Circumstance

Foundation Stones to Happiness and Success

𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘: This is truely one of the best quick reads in motivational literature. As mentioned earlier, there are four works of the author. In the first work, the author describes in detail how man is influenced by his own thoughts. A man is what he thinks. It is beautifully explained how foolish thoughts leads to foolish action thus affecting life, and how positive thoughts will bring positive effects on life. The author discusses ways on how a man can shape his life, his own destiny and even his own body by shaping his own visions and and ideas. In the second work, the author breaks down the steps that help us to conquer the factors that are stopping us from achieving our dreams. This is also the theme of the third work. In the fourth work, the author has talked about how we can make for a stronger self. The basic point of the book is that ultimately it depends upon man himself on how he improves his life quality.

The author has used different literary devices like imagery, alliteration, allusion and epistrophe, thus making the reading journey extremely pleasant. The facts that the author has stated in the works, are plausible and are practical. We can instill these words in our mind and truly try to make our lives better. Though that these works were written back in the early 1900s but his words are still relevant to this day. I am thankful to the publishing house who thought of compiling such impacting works.

There are some parts that may feel repetitive, but keep in mind that these four were separate works that were originally published separately. So there are bound to be overlapping parts.

Take your time reading the book. Savour each word. And if possible, halt after each segment. Let the words sink in. I recommend this book to readers of all ages.
